Science Fair and Dance Competition

SCIENCE FAIR

Chloee and Shayley both did science fair projects (March 2011). Chloee's project was to see what flower would shrivel up the fastest. Shayley's project was to see which flower drank the most water. Chloee got 3rd place, and was able to move on to the next stage, but didn't make it past that. Shayley, didn't place, and was quite upset, because she felt like she had worked really hard. It's always hard when one does better than the other. It's just too bad that they can't always be equal. Unfortunately, that's how life is!

DANCE COMPETITION

Dance Competition comes around once a year. It's generally in March, and it's held in St. George. The girls all did really well. Chloee's class didn't take home any medals, but Lexie and Shayley's class took home 2. They did awesome!!!

CHLOEE turns 8!

Chloee turned 8 on February 20, 2010. I know, I know, I'm just a year behind. My computer was giving me grief and I couldn't get the pictures to upload, so that's my excuse! It may not be a good one, but that's all I've got. So, here we go, on trying to catch up with the last year....

She was soooo excited to turn 8!

We had a nice BIRTHDAY party for at the house, in which she invited 6 or so of her friends. She had a good time, just hanging out, eating pizza, opening presents and having cake and ice cream. She's such an outgoing child, and doesn't have a hard time getting along with everyone.

CHLOEE'S BAPTISM!!!

She could hardly wait to be baptized. She'd been talking about it for a good year. She would have her dad practice with her, so she wouldn't mess up. It was a nice day. She was the only one being baptized that day in our stake, so we got to do the whole program! Lexie and Shayley gave talks, Jack and I said the prayers. Mike led the music. It turned out really nice. Chloee was baptized by her dad, which was a success (She was really worried that she would have to dunk more than once, but she didn't.) Afterwords, we came back to the house and a nice dinner. We had a lot of family here to share the day with her, which is always a nice addition.

Hawaii-Day 7

Hawaii - Day 7

Last Day

We woke up super early so we could catch our flight at 7:00. We landed in Honolulu at 8:00 a.m. We were in such a hurry that we forgot the dang stroller and left it at the house in Molokai...UGH!!! So, we propped CORBIN on top of the luggage cart and took off. We got all our luggage and took off to find an IHOP...yes, on foot. We looked like a "homelss family" toting all our bags and 4 kids down the street...we all got tired, so we turned around and went back to the AIRPORT. On the way, Corbin fell asleep on top of all the luggage. We were all exhausted, and all felt like little Corbie. We ended up eating at a STARBUCKS, which cost us $60 for some pastries and a drink...SHEESH!!! Mike's family was coming in on another flight that afternoon, but didn't make it in time to catch to plane to Las Vegas, so they got to spend another night in Honolulu...I was glad it wasn't us, cause I was anxious to get home. However, when we got back to the airport in Las Vegas, and went to get into our car, there was smoke coming out of the hood and we thought it was on fire! We spent the next 2 hours parked in front of the airport...Mike figured it out and we ended up spending the night in Vegas at Mike's dad's house. Nothing like a quick check back into reality!!! It was a good trip, and we're so glad that we were able to go.

Hawaii-Day 6

Helicopter Rides and Beach Time

The Girls and Mike got to go for a HELICOPTER ride over the island of Molokai. I stayed at the house with little Corbie. The all loved it. What a great experience for them. Mike was in his height of glory! Then, we spent the afternoon at the BEACH. What a beautiful island. It's not very big, but beautiful. The girls got to go SNORKELING, which was Lexie's favorite part of the whole trip. It was good to see a smile on her face. Mike found a SEA HORSE, which they all thought was awesome. Chloee got burried in the SAND by Uncle Jeff, and thought it was the best, until Lexie came and walked on top of her. That was the end of her fun...that and she was covered in SAND from head to toe, and in every crevasse and cranny...haha. We had a great time at the beach. After the beach, we went back to the house and fixed dinner and went to bed. We had to wake up early the next morning since our flight left at 7:00 a.m. This was our last day in Molokai...

Hawaii-Day 5

Hawaii Days 5
Rob & Dawn's Wedding Day!
New Year's Eve 2010
For some reason, I can't seem to find the CD that has all the wedding pictures on it. SO, for now, this is pretty much it. Heck, I don't even have a picture of the bride and groom (Serously). When and if I locate it, I will add some more pictures! The morning and afternoon of the wedding we helped Rob and Dawn set up for the wedding. The kids even got to help. The wedding turned out nice. Nothing like a wedding on the beach, and espeically in Hawaii. In the middle of the ceremony, CORBIN starts to sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". IT was sooo cute! I told him to SHHHSH, and he said, "but mom, I'm just singing a song!" What a character he is. They served deer meat, fish, sushi, and potatoes, along with the wedding cake that Mike's mom made. We stayed until we just couldn't stay any longer. The kids were getting cranky, and Mike and I were exhausted. Back to the house to sleep!
