Hawaii-Day 7

Hawaii - Day 7
Last Day
We woke up super early so we could catch our flight at 7:00.  We landed in Honolulu at 8:00 a.m.  We were in such a hurry that we forgot the dang stroller and left it at the house in Molokai...UGH!!! So, we propped CORBIN on top of the luggage cart and took off.  We got all our luggage and took off to find an IHOP...yes, on foot.  We looked like a "homelss family" toting all our bags and 4 kids down the street...we all got tired, so we turned around and went back to the AIRPORT.  On the way, Corbin fell asleep on top of all the luggage.  We were all exhausted, and all felt like little Corbie.  We ended up eating at a STARBUCKS, which cost us $60 for some pastries and a drink...SHEESH!!!  Mike's family was coming in on another flight that afternoon, but didn't make it in time to catch to plane to Las Vegas, so they got to spend another night in Honolulu...I was glad it wasn't us, cause I was anxious to get home.  However, when we got back to the airport in Las Vegas, and went to get into our car, there was smoke coming out of the hood and we thought it was on fire!  We spent the next 2 hours parked in front of the airport...Mike figured it out and we ended up spending the night in Vegas at Mike's dad's house.  Nothing like a quick check back into reality!!!  It was a good trip, and we're so glad that we were able to go.

Hawaii-Day 6

Hawaii-Day 6
Helicopter Rides and Beach Time
The Girls and Mike got to go for a HELICOPTER ride over the island of Molokai. I stayed at the house with little Corbie. The all loved it. What a great experience for them. Mike was in his height of glory! Then, we spent the afternoon at the BEACH. What a beautiful island. It's not very big, but beautiful. The girls got to go SNORKELING, which was Lexie's favorite part of the whole trip. It was good to see a smile on her face. Mike found a SEA HORSE, which they all thought was awesome. Chloee got burried in the SAND by Uncle Jeff, and thought it was the best, until Lexie came and walked on top of her. That was the end of her fun...that and she was covered in SAND from head to toe, and in every crevasse and cranny...haha. We had a great time at the beach. After the beach, we went back to the house and fixed dinner and went to bed. We had to wake up early the next morning since our flight left at 7:00 a.m. This was our last day in Molokai...
This picture was taken on top of this little castle
that was behind the house that we stayed in.
I think it turned out really cute. Mike's mom took it
and e-mailed it to me. She did some cropping and
that's what she typed on the picture. I wasn't sure
how to get that part off the picture, so there is stays!!!

Hawaii-Day 5

Hawaii Days 5
Rob & Dawn's Wedding Day!
New Year's Eve 2010
For some reason, I can't seem to find the CD that has all the wedding pictures on it.  SO, for now, this is pretty much it.  Heck, I don't even have a picture of the bride and groom (Serously).  When and if I locate it, I will add some more pictures! The morning and afternoon of the wedding we helped Rob and Dawn set up for the wedding.  The kids even got to help.  The wedding turned out nice.  Nothing like a wedding on the beach, and espeically in Hawaii.  In the middle of the ceremony, CORBIN starts to sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".  IT was sooo cute!  I told him to SHHHSH, and he said, "but mom, I'm just singing a song!"  What a character he is.  They served deer meat, fish, sushi, and potatoes, along with the wedding cake that Mike's mom made.  We stayed until we just couldn't stay any longer.  The kids were getting cranky, and Mike and I were exhausted.  Back to the house to sleep!
End of day 5!

Mom made.  It turned out so pretty!

Hawaii-Day 4

Hawaii-Day 4
Molokai
We took a little 9-seater plane to Molokai. Oh yeah, I was freaking out. I don't particularly like to fly, and then to put me on a teenie tiny plane, I thought for sure we wouldn't make it. But, to my surprise, it wasn't too bad. We could see so much from from the plane. We took some neat pictures from the sky. When we landed, Mike's mom, Tom and Robert were there to greet us. It was a beautiful "little" island. We just drove around and checked it out. We didn't do too much this day. We went and visited with MIke's mom at her condo and she fed us a spaghetti dinner. We went to the amazingly small grocery store and bought milk, bread, juice and few other things. Boy, I don't know how they feed a family on that island. The price for a gallon of MILK was $9.99. You could buy 5 gallons here in good ole Cedar City. But, we made do. The prices are horrendous for everything on that island, but the beauty is worth it. I for one couldn't live there, because I feel so claustrophobic with all that water surrounding me.
This picture was taken on Mike's mom's balcony. Looks like it should be on a postcard...so pretty!

Hawaii-Day 3

Hawaii - Day 3
Polynesian Cultural Center
This was my favorite day.  I absolutely love the Polynesian Cultural Center.  We had so much fun!  We had a wonderful tour guide who took us to all the islands and made sure we got to see every little inch.  He did a great job!  We didn't get to do the luau, but the food was still delish.  The show at the end of the night was the highlight of the day.  I'm so grateful to have been able to take the kids to see such a wonderful place.
Lexie, Chloee, Mom, and Shayley We all got tatoos done...they were fun, but didn't last too long!
